  • Wayne Newton, Partner

    Wayne is a Licensed Professional Engineer with 35 years' experience in the Mid-Atlantic region. Licensed in Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania, he's adept in all aspects of construction, thanks to his hands-on industry start.

    Over three decades, Wayne has managed projects across land development sectors, some as the principal developer. His project portfolio spans municipal capital projects, residential and commercial developments, shore erosion control, and recreation/park facilities.

    Certified in Erosion and Sediment Control in Maryland and Delaware, Mr. Newton adds another feather to his cap as a construction reviewer. His responsibilities also include serving as Town Engineer for several Maryland towns, overseeing project delivery, client relations, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control within his firm.

    Wayne promotes philanthropy and assists several notable charities including The Marine Corps Toys for Tots program and is very involved in the local community.

  • Neil Katz, Partner

    Neil’s goal has always been to help and support the local business community. After over 30 years as a successful business owner & entrepreneur, he has organized a group of like-minded professionals with the mission of helping enterprising business owners, identifying and investing in local businesses and serving as a trusted advisor to companies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

    Working with Neil is different than partnering with a private equity group or an investment firm. He understands that relationships matter and is Baltimore’s most approachable and empathetic resource for any business owner.

    Outside of work, Neil is passionate about growing and building a better Baltimore. His charitable endeavors include leadership roles within The Associated Jewish Charities, Hillel International, the AEPI Fraternity & mentoring disadvantaged high-school students in their entrepreneurial endeavors across the globe.

  • Jordan Katz, Portfolio Manager

    A former LinkedIn Sales Executive, Jordan brings an expertise in implementing technology solutions to solve unique business challenges. Furthermore, Jordan has worked in many leading technology sales organizations, providing perspective on best practices to help accelerate sales & business development for any project or venture.

    Jordan held a wide variety of roles within LinkedIn’s Global Sales Organization in San Francisco, New York & Chicago; helping to launch a new business line & managing relationships with LinkedIn’s largest global clients. Following his tenure at LinkedIn, Jordan worked for two venture-backed start-ups, Esusu & Parabola, helping to drive sales & business development.

    A passionate world traveler, Jordan always seeks opportunities to give back to local communities and to exercise his enthusiasm for education, volunteering for organizations including BuildOn & SlumAid to build schools and teach English around the world.

  • Peter Burstein, Partner

    Peter has been a Maryland and Virginia business and real estate attorney for more than 20 years.

    During that time, he has owned, purchased and sold numerous real estate projects and businesses, including a large, regional title company that he co-founded in 2005.

    More recently, Peter has ventured into industrial storage and portable storage.

    In 2019, Peter launched the Maryland franchise for UNITS Moving & Portable Storage. Having navigated the startup through the COVID Pandemic, Peter's franchise is now the largest UNITS location on the East Coast and one of the leading UNITS locations in the Country. In addition to Maryland, Peter is a partner in two other UNITS Franchise locations.

    Peter is also passionate about community, volunteering for several organizations over the years. Currently, he is President of the Board of Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc. (CHAI), an Agency of the Associated.
